It’s many years since we last produced our OO gauge Class 57, but a new batch is now in preparation for release in 2023!
Featuring a chassis upgrade with LED lighting and a 21-pin DCC decoder interface, the models cover a wide range of colourful and popular liveries. While some have been seen on the HELJAN OO model before others are offered for the first time, including the more recent versions of FGW/GWR livery, West Coast Railways 'Northern Belle' red/cream and Network Rail yellow.
Making these models even more attractive in the current climate is the price point – even with the improvements to the chassis, we have been able to limit the Suggested Retail Price (SRP) to £179.00 (£189.00 weathered).
Standard features include a heavy die-cast chassis for superb pulling power and smooth running, four-axle drive with floating centre axles on each bogie for reliable operation, sprung buffers and NEM coupler pockets. There is also plenty of space internally or in the fuel tanks for a DCC sound speaker.
All versions will be on general release, although #5709 in FGW blue will only be available via Gaugemaster stockists as part of the ‘Gaugemaster Collection’. All versions are available to pre-order now, with delivery expected in Q2 2023.
All versions are perfect for modellers of the post-privatisation era from the early-2000s onwards and will complement the contemporary versions of our all-new OO Class 47 when it is released in 2023.
